MTA announces arrival of propane heat pump

Global commercial and industrial water chiller supplier MTA has announced that it will release a propane (R290) heat pump in Australia.

Global commercial and industrial water chiller supplier MTA has announced that it will be releasing a propane (R290) heat pump into the Australian market.

Coming soon, MTA’s new iHCYGNUS N HP air-source R290 heat pump with inverter compressor is designed to reduce environmental impact by using R290, which has a global warming potential of 3 and an ozone depletion potential of 0.

According to MTA, the system will deliver high water temperatures with maximum efficiency and minimal noise. The system will offer heating, cooling, and domestic hot water production all in one unit.

MTA says: “In our journey towards a sustainable future, innovation is enhancing electrical grids and power generation, making them more efficient and smarter, facilitating the integration of renewable energies. As electricity becomes greener, the transition to all-electric heating systems using heat pumps is key to achieving net-zero emission targets.

“Always focused on energy efficiency and environmental protection, MTA further strengthens its commitment by adopting low GWP refrigerants such as propane (R290).”

MTA will demonstrate the iHCYGNUS N HP at stand 758-759 during ARBS 2024.
