Fujitsu General held its annual general conference in June, celebrating the company’s top performers and planning for its future success.
Held in Hobart, Tasmania, the conference invited delegates to learn about the company’s key priorities for 2023 and beyond, while also recognising the achievements of the past year. Delegates also visited Tasmania’s Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, a rehabilitation centre for injured and endangered wildlife, where Fujitsu General made an $8,000 donation.
One focus of the conference was Fujitsu General’s desire to align its business success with its corporate social responsibility. Guest speakers delivered workshops and presentations outlining how Fujitsu can enhance its customers’ experience while simultaneously playing an important part in the community, environment and society.
Managing Director of Fujitsu General Australia and New Zealand Philip Perham said the conference was a great opportunity to reconnect and refocus on Fujitsu General’s priorities: customer care, company culture and commitment to the community.
“Fujitsu General is a market-leading brand and that doesn’t happen by resting on our laurels. The annual conference is a valuable tool to determine the best way to drive successful personal and business outcomes,” said Perham. “When we understand what matters to the community, our customers and our team, we can confidently make decisions that align with those needs.
“We also use this time together to celebrate achievements, milestones and fantastic work performed by our team, without whom Fujitsu General would not be what it is today.”
The conference concluded with a gala awards night that recognised individual team members for their notable performance during the previous financial year. The winners included:
- Business Manager of the Year (Retail) – Rob Joncevski (WA)
- Business Manager of the Year (Commercial) – Kady Jamal (SA/NT)

Fujitsu General also welcomed Peter Cashel to the ANZ executive team with a promotion to General Manager of Sales.
Cashel joined Fujitsu General as an apprentice in 1997 and has held various roles over the past 25 years in the product and sales teams, most recently as Head of Sales.
“Peter is a highly valued member of the Fujitsu General family,” said Perham. “This well-deserved promotion provides him with a seat on the executive team, and we are excited about the contributions Peter will bring to the leadership team and the business. His approach to Fujitsu General’s strategic goals, his commitment, focus and determination on delivering results will certainly greatly influence our ongoing success.”
