The Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) is running a nationwide series of face-to-face seminars exploring 2022 NCC – Volumes One and Two.
“This is an important event for you to learn about what has changed, and what it means to you and your industry,” the ABCB says. “You’ll hear from experts about key changes to Volume One and Volume Two.”
The seminars will be held in all capitals cities, commencing Wednesday July 20 in Canberra and concluding in Perth on August 25.
Those unable to attend the face-to-face sessions can participate in webinars, which will run for four hours on Tuesday July 19 and Tuesday, August 16.
Topics featured in the seminars and webinars cover key changes in the NCC, including:
- New volume structure and clause referencing system
- Fire safety for external walls
- Egress provisions for early childhood centres and primary schools
- Bushfire protection for Class 9 buildings
- Waterproofing
- Masonry.
“Don’t miss your opportunity to ask us your questions,” says the ABCB, “and hear from Standards Australia and a representative from your local jurisdiction.”
All sessions run from 9am–1pm (local time), including a tea/coffee break. Seminar tickets cost $160 (GST inc.) per registration.
