AMCA Australia, in conjunction with the Fire Protection Association Australia (FPAS) and AIRAH, is hosting a webinar on Monday, December 2 about the evolving landscape of NSW building reforms and the critical implications of mandatory compliance with AS 1851-2012 (effective from February 13, 2025).

The webinar will explore FPAS accreditation pathways, key government licensing transitions, and strategies for adapting to these changes.

Key topics include:

  • FPAS overview: Accreditation pathways, deadlines, and required competencies
  • NSW building reform: Impacts to FPAS and accreditation and licensing
  • AS 1851 compliance: Baseline data expectations, contractual obligations, and risk mitigation strategies.

It will include a 30-minute presentation by Ben Fogerty, Executive Manager – Technical Services at AMCA, followed by a Q&A panel session.

The event will help attendees stay informed, minimise compliance risks and ensure any operations meet upcoming legislative requirements. It is suitable for maintenance contractors, fire safety practitioners, building owners, and those who are navigating the building industry’s compliance and accreditation challenges in NSW.
